Images to HDR Converter

Image to HDR converter is a useful tool that allows you to convert images to HDR format

HDR, High Dynamic Range, captures a much wider range of brightness than a normal image file can hold. A regular photo maxes out its brightness values fast; point it at a sunset and you either lose the sky to pure white or the foreground to pure black. HDR keeps detail in both at once.

Photographers use it for editing (usually blending several exposures together), and 3D artists use HDR images as lighting maps, essentially wrapping a scene in a photographed environment so reflections and lighting look real instead of computer-generated.

If your editing software or rendering pipeline calls for an HDR file, upload your source image here and we'll convert it. Worth knowing: converting a regular JPEG to HDR won't recover dynamic range that was never captured in the first place. The format can hold more information than it started with, it just won't invent detail that isn't there.
